4-X Box

The 4-X four input switch box provides the ability to connect the RS-1 or RS-2 speaker and up to 3 CM-2 microphones to the TCU-02 communication unit. The 4-X box allows the operator to switch between the 4 inputs to the input that provides the best listening ability for the operation. The use of multiple microphones can be helpful if the subject moves around the premise or attempts to get away from the RS-1 or RS-2 speaker by going to a remote portion of the premise where he may think it is safe to talk. The 4-X box will automatically switch to the RS-1 or RS-2 speaker when the talk button is operated on the TCU-02. This provides the ability to listen at a CM-2 covert microphone and still talk over the RS-1 or RS-2 speaker without the operator changing the switch position. Listen operation is transferred back to the same input the operator was listening to when push to talk is released.
